AP Lang & Comp Week of March 19, 2012

This week we are looking at unpacking the synthesis and argument questions that will appear on the AP exam. We are also beginning to unpack the multiple choice reading and responses.
  • Reading articles from David Jolliff (AP College Board)
  • Studying the Toulmin Method
  • Handout on writing claims
  • Debrief the King Lear essay
  • Prep for timed writings on Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday (argument, synthesis, & rhetorical analysis)
Our goal is to keep practicing the concepts we have learned throughout the year, so they can be applied to future assignments and the AP exam. Students should continue to review the rhetorical terms & devices.
